Judges and Validators

It takes a team of people to make the Eddie Awards successful. You think we jest, but if you scroll (and scroll, and scroll) below, you will see the incredible list of intelligent women who give their time to help recognize excellence in fic.

Validators- Although the fics with the most nominations for the Eddie Awards make the ballot automatically, most of the fics on the ballot are selected by validators who review all the nominations for gems that belong on the ballot. NO NOMINATION IS OVERLOOKED. Each nomination is considered by at least two validators. The final contenders for the ballot are read in their entirety by four validators.

Judges- Two sets of Eddie Awards will be awarded this year: one from the voters, and one from the judges. Each category is assigned five judges, and all five judges read all the stories in that category before making a decision.

Validators

Annie is a long-time fan of the series who turned to the fanfic while waiting for the books to be released. She loves all different types of fics and spends her time caring for her husband and three kids...and reading. It is possible her husband wishes reading was illegal so he could send her to rehab.

Dmsdms says her foray into fanfiction allows her "putrid housewife and mother" status earned while reading our friend stephie’s books to live on indefinitely. Word has it she's headed for the hall-of-fame. May as well do it thoroughly (sorry, couldn't resist)! She is grateful to the authors who feed her addiction.

Emibella is the Fanfiction Czar at A Different Forest, one of the founders of The Lazy Yet Discerning Ficster and runs Music Sundays, a blog devoted to music and writing. She writes numerous fanfictions including If It's The Beaches. In her free time she works, eats and sleeps.

FindTheWill is a renowned reviewer with particular appreciation for Carlisle. Occasionally called on to adjudicate canon compliance issues, she also enjoys AU and AH stories. She is delighted with the friendships and endless supply of great reading fanfic has brought into her life.

JackieJones (like another history-loving Jones) takes her name from the family dog, and is still trying to find a way to combine her two favorite relaxation techniques: Twilight fanfiction and bubble baths. At the present, she's writing an AU fic entitled Unto a Heart of Stone.

Katinki is an excessive reader who has recently started writing A Little Night Music. She's an R&D scientist who has more degrees than anyone rightfully needs. Her free time is dedicated to vastly more interesting indulgences like perusing painfully angsty Twific romances and, of course, well written smut.

Limona enjoys fine writing, word games, and red wine-- not necessarily in that order. She is also a CPA. These awards are her pet project, and she runs them with Wtvoc. Hiding in Plain Sight is the story she hopes to finish writing sometime this century.

Mac214 is a Philadelphian with a wild crush on Kellan Lutz and a troublesome knitting habit. She has written one completed fic, Things That Go Bump in the Night, and is in the middle of three others: Ultio, Seismic Hazards, and Love Park (available at Twilighted and FF).

Oxymoronic8 writes Innocent, Vigilant, Ordinary and other stories. She secretly reads fic at work, has severe road rage, and digs old school Nintendo, the Cure, and basically anything else popular in the mid 1980s. Even slap bracelets.

Revrag is a wife and mother of three. She loves Twilight, but like many addicts finds fanfiction to be much more...satisfying. She has an unhealthy obsession with Rob Pattinson.

Tkmoon712 is a lover of vodka, music, and smut. David Boreanaz as Angel, Edward, and Damon are her bloodsuckers of choice in that order. There is constantly a song playing in her head and often coming out her mouth. You can usually find her wandering Twitter or chatting with friends.

WD_Den_Mum loves Twilight fanfiction way more than she should. She reads all those dark, angsty fics that others complain are too heartfail-y. You can find her around the fandom universe, commenting on different aspects of the ficverse and scouring for recc's. She's only a reader, she's incapable of writing more than a detailed grocery list.

Withthevampsofcourse (wtvoc to friends and shit-voc to enemies) has just finished nursing school and is now looking forward to updating with regularity. She is currently the supermoderator for the new Twilight fansite A Different Forest in addition to running the Eddies & the Bellies with limona. Wtvoc collabs with jandco in both life decisions and fic.

Judges

Americnxidiot has written several stories for Twilight. She won the inaugural Eddie Award in 2009 for Best Completed Novel for You Get Me Closer to God. She spends most of her time mindlessly pining over all Edwards, ignoring her school work, and searching for bad manips.

Bethaboo is the author of several stories, including Eve, The Apple of my Eye and The Lucky Charm, a collaboration with jakeward. She mainly writes AH, but is dabbling more frequently in canon and AU.

Bookishqua is the author of Cullenary Coupling. Books is known for offering frequent words of encouragement and wisdom to new writers. She knows her fic.

EZRocksAngel is the author of Creature of Habit and currently Daedalus in Exile. Sometimes contributor to The Lazy Yet Discerning Ficster and avid fanfic reader and lover of Robward Cullenson.

ElleCC is the author of A Murmur of Fire in the Vein, drabble writer extraordinaire, co-host of the For the Love of Jasper contest, and the Elle in Ellegna. Elle ships J/B and occasional misguided abominations such as Jasme. She lives in a Panera and has an unhealthy love of spreadsheets.

Fate.Of.Gabriel is the author of The Elite and What Man Has Torn Asunder. She is a dedicated non-canonist and attempts to sneak in Emmett-love in whatever she's writing.

GinnyW runs the Twilight Gift Exchange with her friend Shug, and an LJ community called twilightenabler. She is the author of Coming to Terms.

Giselle-lx is firmly committed to making the world a safer place for canon. To that end she keeps spinning out canon fics like Ithaca is Gorges, and is one of the canon moderators for the soon-to-be launched reVamped.net. When she’s not writing fic (which despite her update speeds, is rare) she’s busy listening to how you talk.

Jandco writes fanfiction for all sorts of inner nerdy fun. She reads it, too, and when she does she's usually quite humbled and proud to call her fellow fic authors peers…or she's laughing a lot. Either way, she's enjoying it. She likes Edward and Emmett. She doesn't like Carlisle and Jasper. Or Bella.

Kimvi is a young mother of two living on the East Coast who rode into the Twiverse on the Pattinson bandwagon and fell easily into fanfiction after getting through the series. With her other passion being music, she often creates playlists and fanmixes for the stories that she gets hooked on.

LaViePastiche is the author of Son of a Preacher Man, VIP author on A Different Forest, co-host of the For the Love of Jasper contest. Hates pants and ghosts; loves babies and chocolate. Ships Jasper/Bella up front and Peter/Bella on the side. Collabs with ElleCC on stuff no one reads.

Limona enjoys fine writing, word games, and red wine-- not necessarily in that order. She is also a CPA. These awards are her pet project, and she runs them with Wtvoc. Hiding in Plain Sight is the story she hopes to finish writing sometime this century.

Melba is a f-f-f-forty year old lover of Twi-fic. She was introduced to Twilight by her daughters DarkHairedVeela and ChooChoo. She is the only woman capable of taming the dragon that lives inside her husband, Rhage. Melba87 is a US Navy veteran, and dreams of living at the Beach Club Resort at Walt Disney World.

MistressAmri is finishing up nursing school with Wtvoc, who turned her on to Twilight and fanfic. Becoming a fan girl has saved her from total implosion on many occasions. She felt especially validated when her five-year-old son asked Mrs. Wtvoc if he could watch "The Vampire Strikes Back."

MommyofBoth is the co-author of Secrets. An avid reader and reviewer, she is also a mom of three kids and a part-time pediatrician who spends any and all free time on her fanfic obsession. She reads and reviews so much that she has to plug her iPhone in multiple times per day to recharge the battery.

Oxymoronic8 writes Innocent, Vigilant, Ordinary and other stories. She secretly reads fic at work, has severe road rage, and digs old school Nintendo, the Cure, and basically anything else popular in the mid 1980s. Even slap bracelets.

Ruby Wednesday spends far too much time reading fics, shopping, gossiping, planning nights out and other forms of a procrastination. Therefore she rarely ever gets anything done. But she loves all aspects of Twilight fic, even the bad. She is the writer of Heatwave, Snap and Derailment.

Sleepyvalentina writes Art After 5/Counterpoint and My Life to Be, as well as the occasional crackfic. Loves art and flowers, spends too much money at CrewCuts, and values friendship highly. She enjoys thought-provoking fic of all kinds.
